1. What do big cabinets, small cabinets and double backs mean? What do big cabinets, small cabinets and double backs mean?

Large containers generally refer to 40 foot containers, usually 40gp and 40HQ.

Small containers generally refer to 20 foot containers, usually 20gp.

Double back refers to two 20 foot cabinets. For example, a trailer pulls two 20 foot cabinets at the same time. During port hoisting, two 20 foot containers shall be hoisted to the ship at one time.

2. What does LCL mean? The whole box?

Less than container load refers to the goods of multiple shippers in a container. Small quantities of goods less than a full container are LCL-LCL.

Full container load refers to the goods of only one owner or manufacturer in a container. Large quantities of goods that can be filled with one or more full containers are full containers, which are operated according to FCL-FCL.

3. What are the common specifications of containers ?

20 foot common cabinet (20gp): 20 feet long, with internal dimensions of 5.898m long, 2.352m wide and 2.385 high. The gross weight of goods is generally 28 tons, the volume is 33.1m3, and the normal loading is 28 cubic meters.

40 foot common cabinet (40gp): 40 feet long, 12.032 meters long, 2.352 meters wide, 2.385 high, with a general gross weight of 28 tons, a volume of 67.5 cubic meters, and a normal load of 58 cubic meters.

40 foot high cabinet (40hc): 40 feet long, 12.032 meters long, 2.352 meters wide and 2.69 meters high, with a gross weight of 28 tons, a volume of 76.2 cubic meters and a normal loading of 68 cubic meters.

45 foot high cabinet (45hc): 45 feet long, with an internal dimension of 13.556 meters long, 2.352 meters wide and 2.698 meters high. The gross weight of the goods is generally 28 tons, the volume is 86 cubic meters, and the normal loading is 78 cubic meters.

4. What is the difference between high cabinets and common cabinets?

The high cabinet is 1 foot higher than the ordinary cabinet (one foot equals 30.44cm). The length and width of the high cabinet and the common cabinet are the same.

5. What is the self weight of the box? What about the heavy box?

Box weight: the weight of the box itself. The dead weight of 20gp is about 2.2 tons and that of 40gp is about 3.7 tons. Heavy box: refers to the box loaded with goods, which is opposite to the empty box / lucky box. Note: there is a little difference in the boxes of each shipping company.
